Node-RED is a tool for visualizing automation to be created. By default, Home Assistant has a powerful automation engine, where you can create all kinds of automation. If you are going to use something more advanced than “Trigger”, “Condition” and “Action”, then you must have some programming knowledge.
However, using an add-on that Node-RED, all automation visualized, and in my view, it is easier to create more advanced automation.
To install Node-Red, go to Supervisor -> Add-on Store and select Node-RED. Then press Install
After that, you have to put a password under “config” and “credential_secret”. Click Save.
Recommend to put on “show in sidebar”, and then just press “start”. Check the logs that Node-RED starts successfully
